Greeings to all

Once again times have changed. In 1944 whem I was in
high school, every one took some foreign language. French and Latin were =
available. I took Spanish because every one said South
America would be our best opportunity for trade. The question of
immigrants was not on the table.

Same with Mexico. Before the current population growth, I went
to Mexico alot. Rode the streetcars, etb and metro every where.
Walked all over the old downtown Mexico City. Went To Vera Cruz
and Guadaljara on the train. I enjoyed it and never felt unsafe.
I enjoyed Acapulco many times. Crime has changed much of this.
Mexico needs better police for every ones benefit.

Many people in Mexico are Indian and Spanish is not their native
language. In the l970's I always noticed school kids on the Metro
doing homework and reading. That seems to have changed.
Why?

:Like it or not....Mexico is a problem for both nations

Mexicans of Castillian descent run the place. But thats
true in Puerto Rico and Cuba as well. The Castillians=20
have not crossed the border because they control Mexico.

I have enjoyed meeting with the people who built and operate
Mexico City Metro. Very professional and do they move the
riders well!
